Atlanta: The Featherville Road, and What It Does to a Machine

From this side, Atlanta is reached up through Anderson Ranch and Featherville along the Middle Fork, and the road in is the point as much as the destination. Miles of shelf and river-grade track, hot springs along the way, and old mining ground at the end that almost nobody sees from a paved road.

It is not a route for a marginal machine. Coverage quits early, the nearest help is hours back down the canyon, and water crossings and loose shelf will find a weak tire or a tired belt. A winch, a spare belt and honest maintenance are the difference between a trip and an incident.
